Due to the fruitful bilateral collaboration between IUT and the International Center for Relativistic Astrophysics Network - ICRANet, a protocol of cooperation that was signed in 2016 has been extended to five more years. Also, some programs namely Dual Degree Ph.D. programs, Joint research under EU program for 2021-2027, Joint Mobility program under Erasmus+ program, Exchanging Academic members and Ph.D.

This virtual symposium was held on Sunday, February 21, 2021, hosted by MSRT. 

According to the plan for organizing higher education centers, Golpayegan Faculty of Engineering and Technology is merged to Isfahan University of Technology.

This merging plan and other similar ones aim at making larger universities with more improvement and quality so that larger universities monitor the issues such as faculty members, the quality of teaching and research in these faculties, etc.  

This joint meeting was held in Isfahan University of Medical Sciences with the presence of Seyed Kazem Sajjadi, Deputy Minister of Consular Affairs of the Parliament from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as presidents and directors of international scientific cooperation centers of these universities. The main focus of the meeting was on introducing capacities with the approach of international capabilities of the IUN members.

This is the Fifteenth issue of the IUT International e-Newsletters which is designed to expand the university's international scientific interactions with academic institutions abroad, aims to inform all faculty, students, and IUT staff about international events, educational opportunities, and research available in international academic spaces, News of visits and conferences, as well as bylaws and circulars related to international affairs, which can affect the international scientific interactions of outstanding academics.

Ministry of Science, Research and Technology (MSRT) has mandated IUT as the national focal point for cooperation with the international project "Synchrotron Radiation for Experimental Applications in the Middle East (SESAME)", and Prof. Dr. Seyed Mehdi Abtahi, the president of IUT, is appointed as the head of the SESAME National Working Group.

Prof. Alireza Bakhshai, a graduate and former faculty member of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Isfahan University of Technology, and a professor at Queen's University, Canada, has been named a 2021 IEEE Fellow.

The student team of IUT won the second place of the 11^th International University Physics Competition. 346 teams from universities around the world took part in the competition, which was held online on November 6, 2020 in the United States. According to the results of this competition, which was published on January 18, 2021, the team of Isfahan University of Technology, consisted of Mr. Sina Etebar, Nima Hamed and Ms.
