Golpayegan County is located 350 kilometers from Tehran and 186 kilometers northwest of Isfahan province, a city in the center of Iran called “Half the World” due to its beautiful hand-painting and magnificent public squares.

This historical city is surrounded by Markazi province in the North, Lurestan province in the west and Khansar city in the south. Golpayegan is rich in the light of antiquities and tourist attractions including Golpayegan Minarest, Jameh (Grand) Mosque of Golpayegn, Googad Citadel, Teimareh Petroglyphs, etc.

Golpayegan College of Engineering was founded in 1995 and has been affiliated with Isfahan University of Technology (IUT) since 2020. This college has outstanding features and qualities regarding academic research and education.

Academic buildings include an amphitheater, central library, conference room, 22 classrooms, center for information technology, computing room, consulting center, and so forth.

Sports centers include a health room, grass grounds, beach volleyball ground, and a multi-purpose indoor sports hall.

Cultural centers include a prayer room, Petroglyphs Park, and the central mosque of the university which are under construction.
