This is the Twentieth issue of the IUT International E-Newsletters which is designed to expand the university's international scientific interactions with academic institutions abroad, aims to inform all faculty, students, and IUT staff about international events, educational opportunities, and research available in international academic spaces, News of visits and conferences, as well as bylaws and circulars related to international affairs, which can affect the international scientific interactions of outstanding academics.
In August 2021, Dr. Ramesh Krishnamurthy, Scientist,Wildlife Institute of India and Adjunct Professor of University of British Columbia, Canada, joined IUT as an adjunct professor under the three years contract, starting July 2021. He has been appointed to the Department of Natural Resources to collaborate with Prof. Dr. Sima Fakheran as her host professor.
Prof. Roozbeh Izadi-Zamanabadi, a professor at Aalborg University and Lead Expert in Control Technology at Danfoss Climate Solutions of Denmark, joined IUT as a new Adjunct professor in August 2021.
Prof. Izadi-Zamanabadi will work with Prof. Dr. Hamidreza Mirdamadi, one of the academic members of IUT Department of Mechanical Engineering. They will jointly advise and supervise theses and dissertations of graduated students.
In the 25th Student Scientific Olympiad in 2020, 9 students of Isfahan University of Technology in the fields of chemical engineering, mathematics, statistics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, materials engineering, and industrial engineering won the top titles in the country.

According to the latest JCR report published by the International Clarivate Analytics (WoS) database, the impact factor of the Journal of Applied Fluid Mechanics (JAFM) of the Department of Mechanics has increased from 0.689 in 2019 to 1.405 in 2020.
Also, the journal Qualitative Quarter in the latest Scopus International Database report in both the "Mechanical Engineering" and "Mechanics of Materials" subgroups as well as the "Condensed Matter Physics" subgroup in the field of "Physics and Astronomy" has been upgraded to Q2 in 2020.

The agreement ceremony between Isfahan University of Technology and Pusan National University of South Korea was held on July 12, 2021, at the office of the President of Pusan National University. In this ceremony, individual agreements were signed between the three Iranian universities, Isfahan University of Technology, Sharif University of Technology, and Ferdowsi University of Mashhad with Pusan National University.
