A memorandum of understanding for cooperation was signed between Isfahan University of Technology (IUT) and the University of Göttingen in Germany to increase international scientific collaborations including exchange of professors, students, and staff of the two universities.
Prof. Dr. Mohammad Silani, a faculty member of the Department of Mechanical Engineering has had an international collaboration at IUT which is led to achieving the goals of the transformation plan at this department.

In the Scientific Olympiad of the Iranian students, which was held in 2021, the IUT students succeeded in gaining brilliant ranks in their subgroups.
These talented students participate in the Scientific Olympiad along with the national entrance exam for master's degrees and answer the descriptive and conceptual questions of this exam.
Dr. Mohammad Ali Zolfigol, Minister of Science, Research and Technology, appointed Dr. Seyed Ali Mohammad Mirmohammadi Meybodi as the new head of Isfahan University of Technology.
Dr. Mirmohammadi Meybodi holds a Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Engineering from Isfahan University of Technology, a Master of Plant Breeding from Tarbiat Modares University, and a Ph.D. in the same field from the University of London and is currently a professor at the IUT College of Agricultural Engineering.
