A delegation from Baden-Württemberg visited Isfahan University of Technology
A delegation with eleven members of authorities and academic members of universities and research institutes Baden-Württemberg, Germany, visited Isfahan University of Technology on November 26, 2016. Members of this delegation, who were specialists in the fields of Water resources management, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Renewable Energies, Industrial Engineering and Economics, Civil Engineering and International Relations, have traveled to Iran to visit Iranian Universities and study about the ways of developing academic and research collaborations between Iranian and Baden-Württemberg universities.
The Baden-Württemberg delegation were warmly welcomed at IUT by Prof. Mahboobi Soofiani, Director of IUT International and Scientific Cooperation Office and take part in a session with some of IUT authorities and academic staff.
During this session, Prof. Mahboobi Soofiani had a brief introduction about IUT facilities and capabilities. He also mentioned the powerful history of collaboration between IUT and German Universities. Then Baden-Württemberg delegation members, had a brief introduction about their institutes and specialty.
After that, every attendance, take part in professional meetings, where they get familiar with other party research areas and interests and had some negotiations about mutual collaboration fields.
At the end of this sessions, both sides describe their talks as constructive and expressed their hope that this negotiations lead to further collaboration between IUT and Baden-Württemberg in educational and research areas in the near future.
Baden-Württemberg is a state of Germany located in the southwest, east of the Upper Rhine. It is Germany’s third largest state in terms of size and population, with an area of 35,742 square kilometers (13,800 sq mi) and 10.7 million inhabitants. The state capital and largest city is Stuttgart, one of Germany’s most important cities. Baden-Württemberg is home to some of the oldest, most renowned and prestigious universities in Germany. The state has the highest density of academic institutions of any territorial state (i.e., excluding Berlin and Hamburg) in Germany.
