Dr. Mohammad Ali Zolfigol, Minister of Science, Research and Technology, appointed Dr. Seyed Ali Mohammad Mirmohammadi Meybodi as the new head of Isfahan University of Technology.

Dr. Mirmohammadi Meybodi holds a Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Engineering from Isfahan University of Technology, a Master of Plant Breeding from Tarbiat Modares University, and a Ph.D. in the same field from the University of London and is currently a professor at the IUT College of Agricultural Engineering.

President of Yazd University from 2006 to 2013, Vice-chancellor for Defense Affairs of Isfahan University of Technology during the Holy Defense, Head of Basij of the faculty of Isfahan University of Technology, Head of the Plant Breeding Department of Isfahan University of Technology, and Member of the Auditing Board of Isfahan University of Technology are some of the responsibilities Dr. Mirmohammadi Meybodi has had in his academic life.

He also bears the title of “the best professor in the country”, won the title “the Book of the Year for Students”, achieved third place for the Award “the Book of the Year for the Holy Defense”, and also won the title of "Distinguished Researcher" in writing and translation at Isfahan University of Technology.

In a separate message, the Minister of Science also thanked Dr. Seyed Mehdi Abtahi, former President of Isfahan University of Technology, for his services and efforts during his tenure.
