
Three students from the physics department at Isfahan University of Technology won bronze medals at the 2024 International University Physics Competitions in the United States.
According to the public relations report of Isfahan University of Technology, the 15th edition of the 2024 University Physics Competition was held virtually in the United States on November 12, 2024. In this edition of the competition, 681 teams from universities around the world competed. The competition was held at a specific time with two physics research problems and 48 hours were given to present a research paper with all the necessary standards on one of the problems. According to the published results of this competition, the Isfahan University of Technology's team consisting of Mr. Matin Rezaei, Mohammad Reza Pour Pirali, and Ms. Yalda Ebrahimi, undergraduate students under the supervision of Dr. Keyvan Aghababaei Samani, the associate professor of the IUT Department of Physics, won the bronze medal, as the only Iranian medal winning team.
