The QS international ranking system published the results of ranking Asian universities in 2025, according to which Isfahan University of Technology was ranked 197th among the top 200 universities in Asia and the top 50 universities in South Asia. In the 2025 list, 984 Asian universities are listed. Of these, 142 new universities have been evaluated whereas Iran's share is 2 new universities.

32 Iranian universities have been ranked in this ranking, and Isfahan University of Technology is ranked fifth among Iranian universities after the University of Tehran, Sharif University of Technology, Amir Kabir University of Technology, and Iran University of Science and Technology. Based on the QS methodology, the factors involved in the university ranking include research and discoveries, the amount and output of graduates, educational business, international participation, and sustainability.

 It is worth noting that the QS ranking is carried out by the "Quacquarelli Symonds" institute in England. Since 2010, this institute has independently evaluated the world's universities. This ranking system receives scientific publications information of universities from the Scopus citation database in 5 years and citations in 6 years.
