According to the International Evolution Plan of the University and the tasks assigned to the International Scientific Cooperation Center of IUT, and to seize international research and educational opportunities, the International Grants Office reopens in early February 2022. Prof. Dr. Seyed Jalal Zahabi, a faculty member of the university and the international cooperator for the ECE Department, will be the director of this office. The office works on finding and calling financial support in the fields such as education, research, and culture from international support institutions.  

Prof. Dr. Vahid Salari, a faculty member at the Department of Physics, and Prof. Dr. Farzaneh Alihosseini, a faculty member at the Department of Textile Engineering, are the former directors of this office who made appreciable efforts during their office.

The major purposes of the International Grants Office are to identify and introduce international financial supports for the ideas and research of the faculty and university researchers; to develop scientific relations with international scientists and universities to attract international scientific grants, and to transfer advanced knowledge to the country. Obtaining these goals can also lead to the promotion of the international ranking of the university. The activities of the office are as follows:

A) Identifying international grants in different countries

B) Creating a website for introducing international grants

C) Creating Persian guidelines for the available grants

D) Running training workshops for graduate students and faculty members to get acquainted with the application processes of grants

E) Inviting members of the Institutions’ Committees for the European Grants

F) Recruiting some postdoctoral candidates of the university to compile the Persian guidelines

J) Announcing registration deadlines

H) Establishing communication between academics and research sponsoring institutions
